Annotated Bibliography - Toyota Cars??

The picture above is a Honda Solar Car.

Richard, Michael Graham. (August 17, 2005). Cars + Transportation. Solar-Powered Toyota Prius Project. Retrieved April 8, 2010, from http://www.treehugger.com/files/2005/08/solar-powered_t.php

This article focuses on going green with cars. Michael wrote about a Canadian engineer, Steve Lapp, who installed solar panels onto his Prius roof. He quoted from Lapp's plan, "...the fact that [current Toyota Hybrids] can run on electricity alone, with their gasoline engines off, offers the opportunity to provide them with more electricity and therefore drive further with the gasoline engine off." This plan was referring that since Toyota Hybrids cars are running when their gasoline engines are off, electricity can be saved and use to make the car go faster. Lapp then compared the hybrid car's electricity to a light bulb. I think that having a solar car is good for the environment, but there might just be some flaws to it as well.
